Welcome Message
Recent years have seen encouraging growth in Industrial Hygiene (IH) practices globally, fuelled by advancements in exposure science and heightened attention to occupational health risks. Coupled with the increasing prevalence of occupational diseases, these developments call for decisive and collaborative action by regulators and industry leaders to reinforce preventive strategies for safeguarding workers’ health. As an advocate of a preventive OSH culture with a mission to safeguard workers’ health, the Malaysian Industrial Hygiene Association (MIHA) is pleased to invite organisations and individuals who share this commitment to be part of the MIHA International Conference and Exhibition 2026 (MIHA.ICE’26), to be held at the Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 26–27 October 2026.
The theme of MIHA.ICE’26, “Shaping a Healthier Tomorrow through Prevention, Resilience and Sustainable Innovation” reflects the need to advance proactive industrial hygiene practices, strengthen adaptive and resilient health protection systems, and promote innovative, sustainable solutions to safeguard worker health in an evolving world of work. This conference aims to serve as a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing, professional networking, and the exchange of ideas that drive meaningful and positive change within the IH profession. MIHA.ICE’26 will bring together local and international OSH practitioners, experts, and industry stakeholders to share the latest developments in IH, including research findings, best practices, and valuable lessons learned. MIHA remains committed to fostering an environment where Industrial Hygienists and OSH professionals can collaborate effectively in protecting workers’ health while supporting organisational values. We firmly believe that strong OSH performance contributes to improved quality of life, enhanced productivity, and overall societal well-being.
The conference and exhibition will feature a comprehensive programme comprising Professional Development Courses (PDCs), an International Student Symposium, plenary, podium and poster paper presentations, technical exhibitions, and networking platforms. These segments are designed to facilitate knowledge exchange, accelerate learning, and promote practical solutions among experienced practitioners, researchers, and emerging young Industrial Hygienists.
